The 10 trends you will be wearing this winter

Now the summer is almost over, you’ve got few weeks to get your outfit ready for the colder season (well, we hope temperatures will drop sooner or later!). What are the big trends of menswear for Autumn/Winter 2017? From the most-popular colour camel to corduroy trousers: here is a small guide to suits, colours and the accessories that we will be wearing over the next few months.

1. Velvet

It is back. Opt for velvet to create a gala-dinner or a special event suit (burgundy and olive versions are very cool). Corduroy is ideal for weekend trousers.

2. Double-Breasted Jacket

It has never left our wardrobe, yet the double-breasted jacket is a key piece of this winter formalwear. You can opt for a classic combination or you can decide to mix and match your jacket. If you are looking for a business jacket, this is the only option this year.

3. Camel

Who’s got a camel-colour coat? Fine, it’s time to pull it off. Put on your casual coat with white sneakers and jeans, pick a formal camel coat if you wear a pinstripe suit and a briefcase.

4. Roll-necks

The roll-neck is truly versatile. This winter, wear it with a suit jacket to go to the office, as an alternative to the shirt, or with a sports jacket (a blazer) and a pair of chinos.

5. Boots

Today Chelsea boots and lace-up boots are not only a casual piece of clothing, they can also be paired with an elegant suit. We would only suggest that you opt for black boots or bistre boots only.

6. Herringbone design

Coats are cropped just above the ankle. Yet, the real touch of class is the design: herringbone, especially its macro version, is the season most popular pattern, when it comes to suits also. Not to be missed!

7. Backpack

Who said only youngsters can wear a backpack? Rucksacks have been a key piece for men of all ages for some time now. Comfortable, practical and unexpectedly elegant, rucksacks were big and dark-shade on the catwalks. Non plus ultra the leather version: it suits your office days and the afterwork.

8. Check and Striped Design

Check patterns in all versions and shades. You can pair your jacket or trousers with plain garments. Shirts can be worn to work or at the weekend. Stripes, usually popular in summer, get darker and are worn even when it’s cold.

9. XXL Sweaters

Over over over size sweaters for next winter. You can wear them with jeans, chinos or more elegant trousers at the office.

10. Green

Rich, deep, mossy green (often in high-texture fabrics): suiting and streetwear went green on the catwalks. What’s great about green? It perfectly pairs with all skin tones.
