Here we are finally counting down the days to summer getaways. We are tempted to indulge in a bit of relaxation even when it comes to style choices. Let’s start with fabrics, what are we banking on?
Linen takes the lead in the summer wardrobe thanks to its breathability and versatility. Typically used for shirts, suits, blazers and trousers, it has a distinctive laid-back vibe that immediately adds a casual and relaxed feeling to the look, yet with a chic twist. Then there is cotton for sweaters and polo shirts, but also for chino trousers. A more refined alternative are blends, e.g. the cotton-linen-silk blend from Maglificio Maggia, available for our polo shirts, which embodies the characteristics of all fabrics: the practicality of cotton, the freshness of linen and the lustre finish of silk.
Putting aside blazers, what can we wear in our free time?
Our selection of knit t-shirts is particularly suitable for casual looks in summer. They are made of 100% organic cotton from Filartex, which is very bright and soft. When I think of a weekend in the countryside or in the Tuscan hills, a look based on Mediterranean colors comes to mind: a sweater in vibrant green tones, a pair of ochre linen trousers and white sneakers. For a sportier touch and a tone-on-tone combination, you could choose a polo shirt in shades of brown.
And for those who don’t want to give up the shirt, perhaps for a weekend in a city of art?
I suggest a linen shirt, which is versatile and perfect to pack. As well as joggers, which are extremely functional because they can be paired either with a polo shirt and a pair of trainers or with a shirt and a pair of loafers, for a more formal look.
